Introduction When the worlds tops for a cup of tea, chances are it will be Sri Lankan. The central highlands of the country, low temperature climate throughout the year, annual rainfall and the level of humidity are more favorable geographical factors for production in high quality tea. The industry was introduced to the country in 1867 by James Taylor, the British planter who arrived in 1852 There is several tea factories open for the visitors with guided tours and many a tea centre runs sales outlets. Some old factories had been turned into hotels with all the comforts including good food and comfortable accommodation while the sales outlest offer excellent tea
